Busy Season

Its been a busy couple of months! The holidays aside, we've had some pretty "fun" stuff happening around here. And by fun I mean stressful. Really stressful.

For example, this from early November:

Super fun, right?! I had the lovely experience of replacing a failed hard drive in my iMac. Bad news is that it put me out of commission for a couple of weeks, I had so reinstall everything, and I probably got a few gray hairs in the process. The good news is that I doubled my hard drive capacity, learned how to take a part my iMac (that was actually pretty fun), increased my RAM while I was in there, and I am now running a newer OS on a slightly faster machine

Another bonus is that very little data was lost - and no client data - since I keep most everything on a separate, backed up hard drive array. I appreciate all of my clients that were patient with me getting their images and products to them a little late during those weeks. Thank you!

Then, there was this "FUN" a few weeks later:

I am standing on my roof taking a picture of my husband a couple of friends digging a giant hole in my yard. Our septic tank settled, and backed up, and vomited all over our basement. It was awful. It stunk. And it cost a lot to repair. It was a very "crappy" project - literally.

Found myself extremely thankful for a 40 degree December weekend and a serious lack of snow. Also grateful that our basement was not yet finished and that the damage was minimal. Also, we have good friends. Really good friends.

Top all of this off with getting my jobs shot and delivered and catching up on the jobs that fell behind, ordering Christmas cards for clients, wrapping up taxes, mix in a couple of holidays, and, and, and...

I'm sorry I was MIA for awhile.

But I am back now. So watch out world! Its time to overwhelm you with all the stuff I've been working on the past couple of months! Here's to an awesome 2015!!
